Mayor
Bai Anida A. Dimaukom said the town’s women consumers cooperative and the
Dapiawan women’s agri-supply and consumers cooperative have joined together in
implementing, advocating and promoting said project which will benefit local residents.
“Our
town was set as a pilot project of the provincial agriculture office of the
province of Maguindanao. The women’s cooperative formed a group of religious
women called (UMMAHAT) and they cultivated a parcel of land intended for the
Gulayan sa Bayan as part of their livelihood projects,” Mayor Dimaukom said.
Mayor
Dimaukom added that they were also engaged into duck raising and fishing
projects spearheaded by the provincial agriculture office (PAO) thru the
municipal agriculture officer (MAO) where they provided and distributed 80
heads of duck and 2 pieces of 100 meters fish net distributed to Datu Saudi
Ampatuan women consumers cooperative and the Dapiawan women’s agri-supply and
