Meeting with Tabun Halal Grocery



COTABATO CITY (June 24, 2016) - Meeting with Tabun Halal Grocery and Women Subcommittee for the presentation of products from the IM COOP that will be showcased in the JOHOR EXPO to be held at Cotabato City in celebration of the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival on December.

The City Government is expecting more than 100 Malaysian entrepreneurs who will be joining the said expo and bring their sample products that are certified HALAL. (Halima K. Satol-Ibrahim)

June 23, 2016 - Cotabato City Administrator Dr. Danda N. Juanday and Secretary to the Mayor Aniceto Rasalan meet with officials from SAVEMORE, the grocery store chain of SM Malls.

In the meeting, SAVEMORE gave a brief orientation on what the store is all about and how it can help local businesses to flourish. They said, most of the products that will be sold in their wet and dry market sections will be locally sourced out. From the meat up to local delicacies, all will be coming from local producers.

Dr. Juanday has emphasized on the integrity of Halal in Cotabato City and how the city government envisions the city to becoming the halal hub of the region. He asked SAVEMORE to study the possibility of including genuine halal products in their list of grocery items.

SAVEMORE has currently 146 branches in the entire country. SAVEMORE Cotabato will be its 150th branch.

It is projected to open on September and will be inside the CityMall, also a sister company of the SM Malls.

RHRC holds meeting on PWD week



The Regional Human Rights Commission (RHRC-ARMM) in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-ARMM) conducted a meeting, June 23 in preparation for the launching of 38th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week on July 21, 2016. It was participated in by the focal persons of the different line agencies of the ARMM.

The upcoming event aims to raise awareness on the protection of the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities in the region. The theme for this celebration is "Karapatan ng Maykapansanan, Isakatuparan... Now Na!". (Bureau of Public Information – Mindanao Expose)
