Candidates briefing in DSA

DATU SAUDI AMPATUAN, Maguindanao --- The Commission on Elections- Maguindanao has conducted a ‘candidates briefing’ last March 6 held at Datu Saudi Ampatuan gymnasium.

Atty. Ernie F. Palanan, provincial election supervisor of Maguindanao, said the activity was attended by some mayoralty candidates from the six (6) municipalities of the 2nd district of Maguindanao, Talitay, Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Talayan, Guindulungan, Datu Salibo and Datu Saudi Ampatuan as the host municipality.

“The briefing is in line with the preparation of the incoming May 13, 2019 national and local  elections and in keeping with the time tested inclusiveness regarding the electoral process,” Atty. Palanan said.

Palanan oriented aspiring candidates of the six municipalities about vote counting machines (VCM), the new machine for transparency and the voters registration verification machine (VRVM).

“All of the aspiring candidates must learn and be educated on how to operate the machine,” Palanan added.

On the other hand, Datu Saudi Ampatuan Mayor Hadja Bai Anida A. Dimaukom was thankful to the Comelec in choosing their locality as host municipality of the candidates briefing and orientation. (Anne B. Acosta)
