Ligtas Covid 19 isolation center establish in Shariff Saydona

SHARIFF SAYDONAMUSTAPHA, Maguindanao --- In response to the national government’s call to ensure the health and safety of its constituents from Covid 19 pandemic that struck economies and claimed thousands of lives, this local government unit in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has established a 20-bed isolation facility which was formally inaugurated and opened on Friday, August 14.

OIC Mayor Bai Zandria S. Ampatuan led the inauguration and ribbon cutting ceremony assisted by Sherwin Peter Gerona and Annah Maleiha Bago, integrated provincial hospital coordinator and municipal head nurse, respectively.

During the inauguration, Ampatuan said that they have renovated a former Day Care center at Barangay Nabundas to serve as Ligtas Covid 19 isolation center. It is fully ventilated,   equipped with medical supplies, hygiene kits, and now ready to receive and house incoming Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) in the locality.

 mpatuan expressed her gratitude to the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), local, regional and national government officials for their unending support extended to the municipality in ensuring the safety of its constituents by strictly implementing measures that can contain the spread of the deadly virus.

As of date, The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) in Maguindanao has declared the municipality as Covid-19 zero positive cases. (Anne Acosta)
