DATU SAUDI AMPATUAN, Maguindanao ---This local government officially opened on Thursday, August 13, its 18-bed capacity ‘Ligtas Covid-19 Isolation Center’, located at Barangay Kabinge.
In an interview, Mayor Edris “Resty” Sindatok said almost a million pesos of fund has been utilized for the renovation of the building which he said, was an abandoned ARMM HELPS building.
“Due to the ongoing pandemic this building was renovated and turned into Ligtas Covid-19 Isolation center. The facility is fully ventilated and complete with hygiene kits, vitamins and sets of beddings. Now, we are ready to accept our locally stranded individuals (LSI’s) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs),” Mayor Sindatok said.
Mayor Sindatok also took the opportunity to thank all government line agencies, municipal government, department heads and staff for their untiring and unconditional support for the realization of this isolation facility.
“I would like also to take special mention of our frontliners, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Barangay Chairmen and officials and our Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPATS) for their indefatigable support,” the mayor added.
Mayor Sindatok also extended his gratitude to Maguindanao Governor Bai Mariam S. Mangudadatu for her support in these trying times.
In her message, Integrated Provincial Hospital (IPHO) Maguindanao Chief Dra. Elizabeth A. Samama, expressed her thankfulness since most of the 36 municipalities in the province of Maguindanao have already had their own isolation center.
