Cotabato City observes 61st founding anniversary

COTABATO CITY --- This city government observed a simple yet significant 61st Araw ng Cotabato Saturday, June 20 amidst the ongoing Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) global pandemic crisis. 

A simple culmination program was held at the Peoples Palace lobby.
In her message, Mayor Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi stressed the resilience of her fellow Cotabateños.

“As we celebrate our 61st foundation anniversary amidst a national health crisis, may this be a commemoration of our journey as a united people who rise above challenges and as a city who seek the better road to serve its constituents,” Guiani-Sayadi said.

In line with the foundation anniversary, the city government conducted a Mass Covid-19 testing for all Public Utility Vehicle (PUJ) drivers of Cotabato City held at the Peoples Palace.

In addition, other activities were also held such as the “Sigay Ka Live” (Online Quarantine Event) through the local government’s social media pages, Mobile Legends Competition, “In House Diskwento Caravan” participated by various business establishments and a Vlogging Competition with the topic “Proud Cotabateño
