BALABAGAN, Lanao del Sur – This local government under the leadership of Mayor Edna V. Ogka-Benito, DMD, inaugurated the newly-constructed two-storey municipal hall executive building situated along the old town hall building on Thursday, December 3.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Mayor Edna V. Ogka-Benito, DMD, with the presence of Sec. Emmanuel “Manny” F. Piñol, chairman of Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and Mr. Emmanuel G. Herbosa, president and CEO of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

Mayor Edna V. Ogka Benito expressed her thankfulness to all the people behind the successes obtained by the said municipality.

“I thank everyone, most specially to Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Adiong of Lanao del Sur for his unconditional support to my administration, despite of so many trials, problems, and protest filed against me since I was elected as municipal chief executive of this locality. But I never gave up because of you, my people, and my commitment to this locality,” she expressed.

“As we work hand-in-hand, together with department heads, staff and employees, barangay chairmen, and officials of 27 barangays, we are directed towards the betterment of this town. Finally, we made it. We were successful in the construction of this more than P20 million pesos worth of town hall executive building that was made possible by the assistance of Governor Adiong, and budget that came from our 20 percent Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA),” she added.

The said infrastructure houses the office of the local chief executive, legislative office, Treasury, Budget and Business Permits Licensing Office (BPLO), and an installed DBP Automated Teller Machine (ATM) located at the grand lobby.

In her third and last term as local chief executive, Mayor Ogka-Benito shared to continue her plans and programs, and implement more projects for the welfare of the constituents. (Anne B. Acosta)
