Juvenal Azurin, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) identified the slain suspect as Angkino Mamalangkas, of SPDA Village, Barangay Semba in the municipality.
“After sensing a buy-bust, the suspect (Mamalangkas) ran and attempted to lob a grenade towards the PDEA agents, who in turn were forced to neutralize him,” Azurin said.
Four others, identified as Saidemen Sanday Mutalib, Juhaimir Lumenda Utto, Salipudin Tasil Maslamama, and Edito Banas de la Cruz, were arrested in the operation.
Azurin said they have been monitoring the illegal activities of Mamalangkas in the area who has been operating a drug den when they carried out the raid.
Seized from the drug den were some 15 grams of shabu with a street value of P102, 000; a fragmentation grenade, drug paraphernalia, and the marked money

arrested suspects were charged for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive
