Meanwhile, the region recorded 30 new cases, 13 from South Cotabato, General Santos City (9), Cotabato City (4), Sultan Kudarat (2), and North Cotabato (1).

“There is still no room for complacency with the  prevailing figures on recoveries and new cases,” said Arjohn Gangoso, speaking for the Department of Health in Region 12 (Soccsksargen).

He noted, however, that the number of recoveries the past several days was “quite encouraging” for the region.

Soccsksargen logged 36 and 26 recoveries on Tuesday and Monday, respectively.

To date, the region has cumulative cases of 1,404 since March, with 884 recoveries for a 63 percent recovery rate.

There are 485 active cases with South Cotabato having the most number at 174, followed by General Santos City (157), Cotabato City (72), North Cotabato (57), Sultan Kudarat (16), and Sarangani (9).

There are 34 Covid-19 deaths recorded so far as of Tuesday evening. (NOEL PUNZALAN, PNA, MINDANAO EXPOSE')
