MUNTREAL elects new set of officers

ELECTION --- The Municipal Treasurers League of Maguindanao has elected its new set of officers (inset) last November 21 as it gears for another calendar year of challenges and organizational direction. (GILMHAR A. LAO - MINDANAO EXPOSE’)

COTABATO CITY --- The Municipal Treasurers League (MUNTREAL) of Maguindanao is committed to foster closer foster closer and more mutual understanding, relationship, and cooperation among the municipal treasurers and as well as improving the social and economic well-being of the local governments with the election of its new set of officers for the Calendar Year 2018 last November 21 held at the MUNTREAL office, this city.

MUNTREAL’s new set of officers are:  Engr. Tokan M. Brahim (president),  Nicanor S. Garrigues, Jr. (vice president), Juliet V. Mariscal (secretary), Misuari S. Guialudin (treasurer), and Elizabeth Estrella (auditor).

Members of the Board of Directors are Hamida A. Adzal, Carmen M. Escritor, Lorlene D. Nepomuceno, Norodin K. Samaon, Sambrano T. Mantawel, Sailani K. Pendong, Mama San Diego, Kusain Masurong, Roxas G. Adza Al-Hajj, and Nawawi T. Esmael.

Brahim said with their renewed commitment, they will continue to strengthen the operation with the Bureau of Local Government Finance, Department of Finance on the implementation of its fiscal and national policies.

“We will also continue to extend cooperation to the municipalities in Maguindanao in the implementation, furtherance, and fulfilment of its tax campaign activities to bring about the successful achievement of the aims, objectives, and goals prescribe and enunciated by the Department of Finance and the Philippine Government,” Brahim added.

Brahimsaid they will also continue to undertake or advise official authorities on matters affecting local taxation and fiscal policies and/or present suitable suggestions for improvement in revenue matters.

“We are also here to support the policies and objectives of our parent association, the Municipal Treasurer’s and Assessor’s Association of the Philippines, in order to present a strong and unified front on its stand on all matters affecting local and national taxation,” he further added.
