COTABATO CITY--The ARMM's Technical Education and
Skills Development Authority (TESDA) conducted a one-day Regional Consultation
on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Reform and
Development Agenda and Skills Needs and Priorities on Tuesday, September 6,
2016 in Cotabato City.
Various
members of TVET stakeholders in the region, that include the government,
industries, the academe, and sectoral groups, among others, attended the
consultation. Stakeholders identified issues and challenges concerning
TVET in ARMM, and proposed policies, programs and interventions for the TVET
Poverty Reduction Strategy and Reform and Development Agenda, and the National
and Regional Technical Education and Skills Development Plans, 2017-2022.

aimed at determining priority skills needs of different industries and the
