Secretary
Don Mustapha Loong of ARMM's Public Works and Highways and other district
engineers answered queries of the media in a press conference dubbed
"Tapatan sa ARMM" on Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Al-Nor
Convention Center in Cotabato City.
To
date, Secretary Loong said one-third of the total number of senior high school
building projects across the ARMM are completed.
Loong
added some infrastructure in the region are also being constructed to support
tourism in the ARMM, that include circumferential road in the province of
Sulu; access road going to the Sheikh Karim-ul Makhdum Mosque and construction
and development of Bud Bongao, both in Tawi-Tawi; and access roads going to
Bubuludtuwa Falls in Maguindanao.
Regular
infrastructure budget of DPWH-ARMM for 2016 is at P10.103 billion, which
includes the concreting of 485 kilometers of roads and construction of 26
bridges.
DPWH-ARMM
targets the concreting of more than 900 kilometers of roads in 2017. (BUREAU OF
