DATU
ABDULLAH SANGKI, Maguindanao --- Governor Bai Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu distributed
last August 11 food packs to their constituents in this town, as part of this
year's observance of Eid'lAdha or "The Feast of Sacrifice".
The
lady governor, who gave the goods to those who joined them in the
"sambayang" (prayer), said she is committed to really help the improverised
communities in the province.
In this
effort, the governor were joined by his son, Datu Abdullah Sangki Mayor Datu Pax
Ali Mangudadatu.
"In
behalf of the provincial government of Maguindanao, allow me to extend my
heartfelt greetings to the Muslim world as we celebrate this year’s Eid’l Adha,"
Mangudadatu said.
Governor
Mangudadatu said this celebration reminds us of Prophet Ibrahim’s inspiring
story of faith, love, and sacrifice.
"The
lessons from his prophetic experience could not come in a better way. for all
of us here in Maguindanao. Not only are we at the crossroads of our history as
we welcome the new Bangsamoro Government, communities from the different parts
of our province are also tested with several calamities taking place. And just like
the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), we have seen the People of Maguindanao’s
faith come out on top," she emphasized.
Further,
the governor seeks the support of her constituents "as they continue with
their efforts in rebuilding the province".
"We
ask our dear constituents to do the same and join us in this journey. The road
towards 'Ang Makabagong Maguindanao' is challenging but it is worth the risk
and the sacrifice," she stressed. (Gilmhar A. Lao & Anne Acosta)
