SSB sustains its monthly peace & order council meet

SULTAN SA BARONGIS (SSB),  Maguindanao ---The municipal government of this town conducted its monthly Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) meetinglast September 17 at the ABC building inthe municipal government compound.

The meeting was spearheaded by Mayor Ramdatu M. Angaswith attendance by Lt. Col.  Edgar Catu, commanding officer of the 40th Infantry Battalion,  municipal police chief Inspector Abubakar N. Pantasan, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Jabbar M. Musa, Alvin Sambolawanwho represented the  Municipal Welfare and Development Office,Municipal Health Officer Dr. Nueva Joy Perucho, Liga ng mga Barangay president Allandatu M.Angas, and officials from the  12 barangays.

Mayor Angas, in his opening statement, said the MPOC meeting is conducted in a regular monthly basis so they can be abreast with the security situation and come out with measures to further sustain the peace.

“I’m calling all barangay chairmen and officials to attend the MPOC meeting regularly for you to present  your situation or reports regarding the status of your respective barangays… and for us to offer or find immediate solutions in coordination with our proper security authorities ---  our Philippine National Police  and Armed Forces of the Philippines,” he said.
In the meeting, the mayor reported on recent events associated with the Municipal Conference on Livelihood Program for D’Reformists.

“I’m extending my whole hearted congratulations for those who passed the Metric Intensive Outpatient or MIOP through the efforts of our Municipal Health Officer Dra. Nueva Joy Perucho and her staff. And hopefully, for those barangays who until now are still on the process of their drug-clearing requirements,please do it as soon as possible, so that you will be included in the next declaration by the oversight committee led by Regional Director JuvinalAzurin of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao after thorough assessment and validation of your barangays,” he said.

He also called the attention ofthe chairman of Barangay Tugalto comply with all necessary requirements for the drug-clearing program and “you are also required to submit your monthly situation reports and be present next monthly meeting.
