Pigcawayan draws activities for 64th founding day

PIGCAWAYAN, North Cotabato --- This municipal government has lined-up activities for the upcoming celebration of its 64th Foundation Anniversary slated on October 20, 2017.

Mayor Eliseo “Jun” Garcesa said this year’s observance is a significant one for the Pigcawayanons.

“We ensure that the celebration for this year will be a lot of fun and more exciting,” Mayor Garcesa said.

On October 16, they will stage the Pakaragyan Festival, Liga Day, Health Fair, Mayor’s Cup Billiard, Talent Presentation, and the presentation of candidates of the Mutya ng Pigcawayan 2017 which is the highlight of the celebration.

On October 17, there will be a North District Field Demonstration, Mayor’s Cup Billiard and the “Gabi ng Parangal” in recognition to the exemplary services extended by individuals and groups, who have contributed to the progress and development of our beloved municipality.

October 18 is the date for the Mayor and Vice-Mayor’s Cup Lawn Tennis, South District Field Demo, Kasalang Bayan, and the pageant night of the Mutya ng Pigcawayan 2017.

There will be Volleyball Tournament (mixed – inter –agency), 3x3 Basketball Tournament, West District Field Demonstration, Championship Game of Lawn Tennis (Mayor and Vice-Mayor’s Cup), Championship Game (Mayor’s Cup Billiard), Invention and Painting Contest, and the much-awaited Pigcawayan Got Talent on October 19..

The local government on October 20 will spearhead a Civic Parade/Float Parade and they will also witness the Private Schools Field Demonstration, culmination program, and the Lechon Festival Concert. (GILMHAR A. LAO & ANNE ACOSTA - MINDANAO EXPOSE’)
