THE BOAT RACE

THE BOAT RACE, which was part of the 59thAraw ng Cotabato celebration (June 20), reeled off  in the morning last June 18 from Barangay.Kalanganan 2 traversing the Tamontaka River down to Barangay Tamontaka Mother. 30 boats, each with two boatmen, participated in the competition. The contestants were fisher-folks coming from the three coastal baranggays of the city --- Mother BaraggayTamontaka, Tamontaka 1, and Kalanganan Dos.The activity was organized by the City Tourism Office.
