City LGU honors centenarian Cotabateños

RECOGNITION ---- Centenarian Cotabateños being awarded by the city government of Cotabato with a cash gift of P100,000 each and  a wheel chair. (CITY GOVERNMENT OF COTABATO - MINDANAO EXPOSE’)

COTABATO CITY --- This city government honoured Cotabateños who have reached their centenial age during an awarding ceremony of beneficiaries last June 29 held at the People’s Palace.

In her message, Mayor Atty. Frances Cynthia J. Guiani-Sayadi congratulated the awardees for aging fruitfully and for rendering their services which had contributed to the development of the city.

“You are the gems of your generation and are now the inspiration of the present Cotabateños,” Mayor Guiani-Sayadi said.

During the awarding ceremony, one representative expressed sincerest gratitude to everyone, especially to the local government for the undying support, care, and assistance for the elderly like them.

Seventeencentenarians (six of them already deceased) were awarded with P100,000  each for having reached the age of 100.

A program of the national government, it is funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and was downloaded to the city's Office on Social Welfare and Development Services.

Aside from the cash gift, the city government also gave each beneficiary a wheel chair for mobility assistance.(GILMHAR A. LAO WITH CITY GOVERNMENT OF COTABATO - MINDANAO EXPOSE’)
